What the Procedure Does
Kybella is a brand name for an injectable drug called deoxycholic acid, which is used for the nonsurgical treatment of submental fullness, often referred to as a double chin. Submental fullness is the accumulation of excess fat beneath the chin, and it can be caused by various factors, including genetics, weight gain, and aging. It is the first and currently the only FDA-approved injectable treatment for improving the appearance of a double chin.
