Dr. Michael C. Laliberte is an extensively trained and highly accomplished Canadian board-certified plastic surgeon. With over a decade of surgical experience and a specialization in cosmetic body, breast, and facial procedures, Dr. Laliberte is recognized for his expertise in plastic surgery. He has collaborated with renowned surgeons across North and South America and brings a wealth of knowledge and a comprehensive approach to the practice of aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery.
Dr. Laliberte’s journey in the field of plastic surgery began after completing his undergraduate and medical education at the esteemed University of Saskatchewan. He then pursued specialized training in plastic surgery at the University of Manitoba, honing his skills in various areas of plastic, aesthetic, and reconstructive surgery. As the Chief Resident in his fifth year of residency, Dr. Laliberte had the invaluable opportunity to further expand his knowledge at the prestigious Pitanguy Clinic in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. There, he completed a cosmetic surgery internship. Dr. Laliberte then trained at Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital in complex reconstructive breast surgery. To enhance his expertise, he completed a one-year fellowship in hand and microsurgery at The Buncke Replantation & Transplantation Clinic in San Francisco, California.
After several years of practicing in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Dr. Laliberte made the decision to relocate to Canmore, Alberta, following the retirement of Dr. Thomas Sinclair in December 2018. Driven by a commitment to providing exceptional patient care, Dr. Laliberte strives to continue Dr. Sinclair’s legacy of excellence in plastic surgery and serve the community with the highest level of skill, dedication, and compassion.
