Dr. Ian MacArthur is an Award-Winning Plastic Surgeon in Ottawa, Ontario. He is Board Certified with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and the Medical Director of New Age Medical Aesthetics & Plastic Surgery. Since moving to Ottawa in 2016, Dr. MacArthur has developed one of the busiest plastic surgery practices in the capital. He is known for his friendly and calm demeanor with patients, along with the ability to deliver personalized surgical plans that yield natural, timeless results.
Originally from Winnipeg, Dr. MacArthur studied at the University of Manitoba where he received two Bachelor of Science degrees in both genetics and medicine, as well as the Hogg Centennial Entrance Scholarship. In 2005, he was accepted to medical school at the University of Manitoba. Upon entry, he received the Dr. Edward John Bennett Scholarship, which is given to the top applicants for the medical school class. Dr. MacArthur successfully completed his residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Manitoba where he served as chief resident in 2013.
After residency, Dr. MacArthur relocated to Miami, Florida where he completed additional fellowship training in Craniofacial surgery at Miami Children’s Hospital. Working in Miami afforded Dr. MacArthur the chance to work with world experts in the field of cosmetic surgery – an experience which he draws upon to deliver excellent, natural, and personal results for his patients.
